Nouns - "friend"

My friend is an English. (錯的)
My friend is an Englishman. (對的)
My friend is English. (對的)
我的朋友是個英國人。

English 解 "英國人"一定要與冠詞連用，即the English = 英國人的統稱 = English people
如果單一個英國人必要用 Englishman/Englishwoman. 可以說 My friend is English. 但這句子中的English 是形容詞。

e.g. She thinks she speaks English better than the English.
她認為自己的英語講得比英國人還要好。

提示：以 -ese 結尾的這類專有名詞，如 Japanese , Chinese 等,單複數相同。
